from the Instructor:
Aloha, I am Akiko White the owner and founder of Aloha Bites. I have been Making Jam for over 25 years. The first time I made jam was when I was living in Colorado and we had a crabapple tree in our yard. Instead of the mess that we would have when the crabapples dropped, I picked them up and made crabapple jam. My daughter and I grabbed our wagon and we shared the crabapple jam with the neighbors. From then on I was hooked into making my own jams. When we lived in Texas, we created a com[any called White Acres Farm. We made jams and sold them at the farmers market in Austin Texas. Six of the original Aloha Bites flavors are from White Acres Farm! I am happy to live in a place that has such an abundance of year round fruits. And I am happy to share my knowledge of jam, jelly, chutney and butter making with you!
